State of Oklahoma
Web Modernization Framework

UX Consultant, 2020

I joined a Web Modernization Framework project for the States of Oklahoma (2020) and Illinois (2021). The websites were constructed using AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), a software solution that combines features of a content management system (CMS) and a digital asset management (DAM) system. The team developed 42 default AEM components, 10 templates, and successfully migrated 24 websites for the State of Oklahoma (2020).

Both websites prioritized inclusivity and accessibility for diverse audiences seeking information from the states. Scalability was a key focus, emphasizing the client-side team's ability to manage and update content, along with enhancing governance (control) across the state content ecosystem.

As a UX consultant, my primary role was identifying inconsistencies and providing UX support to ensure cohesive experiences and design patterns across different agencies, each with unique content and workflow.

I played a supporting role in the last stage of the Design Foundation, focusing on additional fundamental aspects such as color styles, buttons, icon elements, and form controls to assist the lead designer. I also edited a few pages of content for the live authoring guide. The documentation, skillfully crafted by the UX team, helps users understand the functionality and governance of the components.
